Before our new school year started, we had our first event of the year! Everyone joined us for a Meet and Greet. This is where our families learned what class their child will be in and meet their teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. We are so excited for the new year and our new curriculum. This school year, we are implementing a brand-new curriculum through Brightwheel, called Experience Curriculum. Our teachers are posting daily on the activity feed with pictures, observations, and skill sets they are learning. Our parents learned all about this at our second event, Back to School Night. This is where parents came together and learned about the class their child is in for the year and the new curriculum. They all went home with their first homework assignment, making all about me pages. This helped us with our September lesson plans where we learned about families, friends, pets, and emotions.
This school year we will also have two extracurricular activities during school hours that your child can participate in. The first extracurricular is a sports program that will introduce a new sport each month, focus on kindness, and working as a team. The other extracurricular program is soccer. They will focus on the basic skills of soccer and cheering each other on as a team while having fun. Both programs had their demo days, and they have officially started their sessions.
