Love is in the air at Hillsborough! The children walked in wearing their Valentine colored outfits with Valentine cards in their hands. They were all full of smiles and excitement for their class parties. They enjoyed a delicious special snack before passing out their cards to their friends. After snack, each class made a circle and one by one they took turns passing out their cards. When passing out their cards, it teaches the concept of expressing kindness and friendships. It also teaches sharing, taking turns, and saying please and thank yous. In addition to the Valentine parties, some rooms baked with love. They took turns measuring, scooping, and mixing a special treat. After all the mixing, they poured their ingredients into their baking pans and waited for them to bake. We hope everyone had a special Valentines Day as we did here at Hillsborough.
